Welcome to The Seahorse

Located just a mile and a half south of central Guildford in the picturesque village of Shalford is a pub which has been transformed into something quite spectacular.

The Seahorse, a coaching inn for 300 years, has been totally restored to its former glory and beyond. It is now everything you would expect from a traditional pub and so much more. 

We’ve created a fabulous atmosphere and the design of the pub is a great deal more modern than previous incarnations but still with plenty of nooks and crannies to nestle in and catch up on the days events. 

This is a proper pub with great food, local ales and fine wines all prepared by a team of people who have a genuine passion for hospitality. 

The Seahorse rolls with the seasons. In the winter, log fires will roar, while in the summer, jugs of chilled Pimms will be served in our fantastic newly landscaped garden. 

That is what a pub is all about. Good food and drink in a great English atmosphere.

We like to think that we are here to refresh and revive all weary travellers who walk through the door looking for an oasis, just as they did all those hundreds of years ago...
